TBS Junior Enterprise is a part of a huge global network that includes more than 1200 Junior Enterprises and more than 62000 Junior Entrepreneurs.

In the midst of a pandemic, the whole world is craving connection; a sense of belonging is very much needed. Therefore, we took the initiative of gathering more than 200 members in an online webinar on March the 7th.

Junior Enterprises Connect is TBS JE’s first international event. We prepared a very diverse and enriching agenda for the participants.

It started with introducing the different confederations that were present with us. Each one of them chose a representative that shared with us facts and accomplishments of their confederation.

This segment ended with conducting a quiz to test the attendees’ knowledge about the information shared by the representatives. Two winners were announced later on and got a prize offered by our sponsor Daily Internship.

We, then, proceeded to the interventions of the network’s Alumni Members; the speakers shared with the attendees their professional and personal experiences in the Junior Enterprises world and they gave the attendees insight into how impactful this experience can be on one’s career path.

Mr. Gabriel Costa Caldas; an Alumni Member of FEJECE and the Former Communications Manager of Junior Enterprises Global shared with the attendees his experience as a member of the JE network. His speech was very inspiring as he illustrated all the obstacles and failures that he went through during his career.

Mr. Matteo Cocciardo; Former President of JEToP, the Co-Founder and CEO of Intervieweb; an HR Tech company focused on talent acquisition, and the CEO of In-recruiting - Applicant Tracking System/Recruiting Software, gave an insightful speech about his career and how being a former Junior Entrepreneur helped him in challenging the status quo and starting a company from scratch while he was doubted by other people.

Mr. Eduardo Platon; an Alumni Member of Confederação Nacional de Jovens Empresários shared with the attendees some precious pieces of advice that will serve them in their future careers.

Later on, we were carried away with a musical break performed by Laura Bretan; winner of Romania's Got Talent and finalist of America's Got Talent, and Mohamed Ben Salah who participated in Arab Idol 2017. Their amazing voices were transmitted to the audience all around the world.

The attendees didn't hesitate to let them know how amazing the performances were through the comment section which was filled with appreciation and applause.

After the break, the 200 participants were divided into groups; some of them joined the discussion circles during which they had debates and plenty of guided conversations. The rest joined Speed Dating activities; members were put randomly into groups and they had a set time to have a light conversation and to exchange information before switching to another partner.

The participants were invited to share screenshots of the people they met through this activity. Here are some of the pictures that were shared:

We would love to thank all the attendees of our first international event: Junior Enterprises Connect for being present and for contributing to making JEC as successful as it was.

We hope that they all enjoyed being among us as much as we enjoyed having them. We cannot wait for future editions!
